Sunday brunch at Csók
In Daytime Dining concepts, brunch occupies a worthy place alongside lunch and smaller meals and cocktails. It has been in great fashion lately, and these dishes also occupy a large place on the menu at Csók.
The origin of brunch
The term 'brunch' was born from the marriage of the English 'breakfast' and 'lunch', an intermediate meal, a transition between late breakfast and early lunch, usually between 10 and 13-14 hours.
Originally from England in the 19th century, Guy Beringer used the term in 1890 in an article in Hunter's Weekly. After the Sunday service, he suggested a lighter meal on a late Sunday morning.
Brunch at Csók
Brunch is a special occasion, whether it's a Sunday or a weekday morning: varied brunches, delicious coffees, juices, light salads, but also cocktails and prosecco form the core of this genre.
The true classic, eggs benedict, is made with English muffins, farm eggs, and browned butter hollandaise. We color it with different toppings, with fried ham, smoked salmon, or even baby spinach or avocado.
Of course, you can't miss the scrambled eggs, which in our versions are made with salmon caviar and truffles, but if you want, you can put together your own version, with lots and lots of toppings: sausage, cheeses, vegetables. You shape it the way you want.
The avocado toast, which is also highly acclaimed, was also added to our list: a true brunch dish that cannot be missed here either. Premium sourdough bread, coriander salad and black sesame seeds make it irresistible.
We also want to please gourmets, which is why we recommend the foie gras pate, with red borscht and red onion chutney, on an almond cake.
We also thought of our vegetarian guests, we recommend the Transylvanian eggplant cream especially for them.
If you would like lighter dishes, our caesar salad or grilled goat cheese can be a perfect choice.
In addition, the most delicious pastries cannot be missing from the repertoire, of course all our bakery products can also be found at this time of the day.
If you want to enhance the atmosphere, even at a girly Sunday brunch, it's worth checking out our cocktail selection, as in addition to juices and mocktails, we also have signature cocktails and fantastic Italian prosecco.
No meal can be complete without coffee: you can choose from 21 types of coffee specialties, from the classic line, through matcha, to espresso tonic. Our collaboration with Hollóházi porcelain is a great pleasure for us: you can enjoy cortado and espresso in these high-quality porcelain cups, which you can also buy.
