Csók Bisztró Patisserie
Artistic desserts on Andrássy Avenue

Csók Patisserie is one of Budapest’s most distinctive artistic pastry destinations: it operates within the walls of HAB (Hungarian Art and Business) on Andrássy Avenue, combining a bistro and a patisserie in one space. Under the direction of master pastry chef Krisztián Varga, every dessert is made in-house, ranging from reimagined classics of Hungarian pastry-making to creative, colorful signature creations.

Here, every slice is a small work of art. 😘

Bistro vibes, maximalist pastry quality

Most downtown bistros source their desserts from elsewhere. We do not. Csók Patisserie operates as its own in-house workshop within the Csók Bistro building on Andrássy Avenue, where every handcrafted dessert is made fresh daily in small batches, using real fruit, Hungarian dairy products, and premium chocolate.

We think of ourselves as a bistro, but our pastry selection stands shoulder to shoulder with the standard of a premium patisserie.

Just as our bistro’s design refuses to blend into the background, our desserts do the same. The cakes, cream pastries, and sweets made in our own workshop carry forward the same artistic spirit our colorful interiors and dishes are known for. Here, every dessert is a unique creation, because ordinary has never been our genre.

Krisztián Varga, our pastry genius

At the helm of Csók Patisserie is master pastry chef Krisztián Varga, who loves to play with colors and forms. Forget the usual pastries. Krisztián turns modern pastry-making upside down, creating handcrafted desserts that surprise you at first, then completely win you over. The result? You will keep coming back for his creations the way others return to their favorite gallery.

Here, Krisztián is given complete creative freedom. There are no formulaic display counters, no pre-written seasonal lineup. There is a master pastry chef, one of Budapest’s most exciting contemporary creators, whose imagination is allowed to soar, and a space that offers fresh inspiration month after month. The recipes of classic Hungarian pastry-making, Dobos cake, krémes, Somlói galuska, are reborn here through modern techniques and artistic presentation, while Krisztián’s own signature creations also take their place beside them.

Art on the plate, art on the walls

The villa building of HAB (Hungarian Art and Business) on Andrássy Avenue is home to a wide range of contemporary exhibitions, and Csók Patisserie is the sweet continuation of that space.

Our desserts and display counters respond to current exhibitions and the changing seasons the way a gallery responds to a new season. An Easter display, a summer fruit selection, and an Advent showcase each become a different experience, with a different visual world of their own.

This artistic pastry direction does not stop at desserts. You will find the same mindset in the warm dishes of Csók Bistro, in the presentation, and throughout the space itself.

For us, pastry is not a separate department, but a continuation of the very same hospitality philosophy.

Unique events, unique pastries

Csók on Andrássy Avenue is already a special story in itself, so when it comes to events, we do not settle for the ordinary either. Here, there is no dull, pre-written menu to simply point at. We design the savory bites, the desserts, and the entire gastronomic experience together with you. Under Krisztián’s hands, every idea comes to life, whether it is a clean and elegant concept or a bold, unconventional party. We create exactly the kind of bites your guests deserve.
