Street-side ice cream counter on Andrássy Avenue at Csók Bistro

Budapest's ice cream season is in full swing again, yet there has never been an obvious place to stop for one while strolling around the City Park. Since the summer of 2026 that has changed: Csók Bistro has opened a street-side ice cream counter at Andrássy út 112., serving ice cream made in our own pastry kitchen. No need to enter the restaurant, no table to book: you walk up from the street, choose, and carry on towards the park. In this article we show you the flavours, the opening hours, and why homemade ice cream is unlike the mass-produced kind.

What flavours does the Csók ice cream counter serve?

The ice cream comes from the same pastry kitchen that bakes our award-winning cakes. The summer line-up revolves around nine flavours, among them:

  • Salted pistachio and salted caramel: the two most sought-after "grown-up" flavours

  • Raspberry-basil: fruity, fresh, a little surprising

  • Orange cheesecake and French cream slice: the pastry counter's cakes as ice cream

  • Mango-coconut: the tropical line

  • Chocolate, vanilla, cookie: the classics we could never leave out

The current flavour list changes with the season, so it is always worth a look at the counter.

When is the street counter open?

The ice cream counter is seasonal and operates on a slightly different schedule to the bistro:

  • Tuesday to Friday: 14:00-19:00

  • Saturday and Sunday: 11:00-19:00

  • On Mondays the counter is closed too

In other words, it fits an afternoon walk on weekdays, or even an after-lunch dessert at the weekend.

What makes homemade ice cream homemade?

Because it really is made in our own pastry kitchen, in small batches, with the same approach as our cakes: real ingredients, flavours that follow the seasons, nothing off a conveyor belt. If you would rather enjoy it seated, the bistro serves the Jeges „Csók” (Iced „Kiss”) (2,550 HUF): a croissant roll with salted caramel ice cream and caramel sauce, where the ice cream counter and the patisserie meet on a single plate.

After the ice cream (or instead): terrace and brunch

If ice cream is just the opening act, our sunny, parasol-shaded terrace awaits with cooling drinks and an all-day brunch selection from Tuesday to Sunday; we wrote more about it in our all-day brunch article. Whether you are heading to or from the City Park, we are only a few steps away: the Bajza utca M1 stop is 2 minutes from the counter.

In short

Ice cream made in-house on Andrássy Avenue, from a street counter, with nine flavours from salted pistachio to raspberry-basil, Tuesday to Friday 14:00-19:00 and 11:00-19:00 at weekends. Take a walk towards the City Park and taste what ice cream from the Csók pastry kitchen is like! 😘💋
