Child-friendly restaurant near City Park: Csók Bisztró

Planning a day in City Park and looking for a child-friendly restaurant in Budapest? Join us at Csók Bisztró, Andrássy út 112, for a family breakfast, brunch or lunch. You can ask for a highchair, there are colouring sheets and pencils for the little ones, and you will find a baby changing facility in the washroom. You can also arrive with a pram; you can ask for help with access at the reception.
The all-day menu can be convenient for a family gathering because you do not have to give up breakfast dishes even in the afternoon. If your child would like to eat pancakes, you would prefer an egg breakfast, and another member of the group is ready for lunch, you can all choose at the same table. The selection includes croissant rolls, pancakes, Benedicts, pinsa, burgers and pasta.
With Heroes' Square and City Park nearby, you can fit a walk around your meal. Below are two ways to plan an October family outing, along with practical details about the facilities and food.
What family facilities are available at Csók Bisztró?
At Csók Bisztró, located at 112 Andrássy Avenue in District VI of Budapest, a highchair, colouring sheets, pencils and a baby changing facility are available for families. You can also arrive with a pram. There is no separate children's menu; the possibility of a smaller portion or a simpler dish should be discussed with our team. You can find further details about your visit among our frequently asked questions.
When choosing a child-friendly restaurant, compare the facilities your family actually needs. Do you need a highchair and a changing facility, familiar dishes, or a separate activity? These are different services. CSÓK offers the above options for a family meal; please look for separate programmes among the announced events.
Include children in the number of guests. Tell us how many of you are coming in total and how many highchairs you would like to request. If you are arriving with a pram, mention this too so we can discuss where to seat you. You can ask for assistance from the reception when entering the building on Andrássy Avenue.
The colouring sheets and pencils can be used at the table. If you would also like to include a specific children's activity in your day, please look up its announced time and conditions of participation separately. Booking a family lunch does not in itself constitute registration for another programme.
What can children eat at Csók Bisztró?
Instead of a separate children's menu, you can choose from the current menu. The possibility of a smaller portion or a simpler combination should be discussed with our team. This does not mean the same thing for every dish, so it is worth stating the child's needs specifically: for example, which ingredient they do not like, or which flavour they would avoid.
You can review the current illustrated menu even before you set off. It is easier to choose based on the ingredients rather than the names of the dishes. Among the pancake towers, for example, there are both sweet and savoury versions, and the croissant roll is prepared in several combinations.
A simpler, sweet breakfast. Look at this on the menu: Croissant roll vajjal és házi lekvárral (Croissant roll with butter and homemade jam); Why is it worth reading the ingredients?: A clear combination; you can ask about the flavour of the jam on site.
A fruity breakfast. Look at this on the menu: Vanília Zabkása (Vanilla Porridge); Why is it worth reading the ingredients?: It includes banana, seasonal fruits and cinnamon.
Sweet pancakes. Look at this on the menu: „Csók” Torony (Kiss Tower); Why is it worth reading the ingredients?: Made with American pancakes, mascarpone, vanilla, syrup and fruits.
A savoury, ham and cheese dish. Look at this on the menu: Töltött Bundás (Stuffed French Toast); Why is it worth reading the ingredients?: The seeded sourdough bread comes with chive sour cream.
A tomato and cheese dish. Look at this on the menu: Klasszikus Pinsa (Classic Pinsa); Why is it worth reading the ingredients?: San Marzano tomatoes and Fior di Latte are included in the combination.
A burger with chips. Look at this on the menu: „Csók” Burger; Why is it worth reading the ingredients?: It also contains bacon, cheese, onion, vegetables and sauce.
These are items on the menu, not separate children's portions or age group recommendations. You know what your child likes: the descriptions of the dishes help you to decide based on more than just the picture.
For example, if they like cheese but not onions, ask how they can prepare the burger before ordering. If they would choose the sweet pancakes, show them that fruit and mascarpone are also included. A quick conversation before ordering can help you find a dish your child will enjoy.
Breakfast for the adults, lunch for the children, or vice versa
On a family day out, everyone gets hungry at a different time. The all-day selection gives you the opportunity to request an egg breakfast even for a midday or afternoon gathering. Meanwhile, someone else can choose a warm bistro dish or a sweet course.
The common base of the four Benedict variations at CSÓK is the croissant roll, free-range eggs and brown butter hollandaise sauce. The "Csók" Benedict is made with Serrano ham, the "Csók" Royale with smoked salmon, and the Extra Florentine with baby spinach and avocado. The topping for the "Csók" Special is crispy bacon, red onion jam and crispy onions.
If you are interested in savoury pancakes, look for the Krémes Palacsinta Torony (Creamy Pancake Tower). This includes homemade herb curd cream, red onion jam and avocado. It therefore differs from the sweet "Csók" Torony in its ingredients, not just in its name.
Before a breakfast, you can also review CSÓK's breakfast guide. If you are coming for lunch instead, alongside the burger, goulash soup, breaded veal "Katsu" and black pasta with smoked cheese sauce are also on the current menu. This way, you do not have to decide in advance for your shared programme whether everyone will have brunch or everyone will have lunch.
How much might a family breakfast cost? A worked example
To help you budget, here is an example using four dishes from the menu checked on 28 September 2026. Each is ordered separately at its standard menu portion and price.
„Csók” Benedict. Quantity: 1; Menu price: 4,350 HUF
„Csók” Royale. Quantity: 1; Menu price: 4,650 HUF
Croissant roll vajjal és házi lekvárral (Croissant roll with butter and homemade jam). Quantity: 1; Menu price: 2,000 HUF

The four dishes in total, with service charge. Menu price: 15,180 HUF
Based on the menu of Csók Bisztró checked on 28 September 2026, one "Csók" Benedict, one "Csók" Royale, one croissant roll with butter and jam, and one Vanilla Porridge total 15,180 HUF with the 15% service charge. Drinks, additional food and any potential surcharges are not included in the calculation. The source of the prices is CSÓK's current menu.
Choose the number of dishes to suit your family's appetite. If you choose another dish or also order drinks, the final total will change. The October Restaurant Week is a separate offer: its published menu price already includes the service charge.
Shared tasting or separate plates?
If several of you would like to taste from the same selection, you can also look at the sharing platters. The Brunch Plate contains one of each of the four Benedict variations: ham, salmon, spinach and avocado, and bacon and onion. The Burger Plate features six mini beef burgers, chips, sweet potato fries, coleslaw and Csók sauce.
Choose a sharing plate according to your group's appetite. Four Benedicts or six mini burgers do not necessarily serve a fixed number of guests. Tell our team how many people want to share and ask for advice on quantities.
If your child would rather eat a pre-selected dish of their own, feel free to plan with separate plates. Meanwhile, the adults can choose a shared platter or separate meals. It is also not necessary for the child to taste the same thing as the rest of the group.
You can also leave room for dessert. The Jeges Csók (Ice Kiss) croissant roll with salted caramel ice cream and caramel sauce is on the menu, and you can find out about further sweets on our pastry kitchen and desserts page. Please check the daily selection upon arrival.
Two ideas for a family half day around City Park
Weekend breakfast, followed by a walk
If the family would like to set off earlier, you can arrive at the bistro from 9:00 at the weekend. Book a time that is convenient for you, and after breakfast head onwards towards Heroes' Square or City Park.
Breakfast first leaves you free to take the walk at your own pace. You do not have to return for a pre-booked lunch, so you can more easily adjust the length of the outdoor activity to the children's mood and the weather. If you plan a museum or another ticketed attraction alongside the walk, please check its timing separately.
When planning for the weekend, the opening times of the two venues matter: Csók Bisztró opens at 9:00, and the HAB gallery opens at 10:00 according to the normal schedule. If you ultimately choose an exhibition instead of a walk, plan your 9:00 arrival for breakfast first. Please check HAB's opening hours for that day before setting off.
Outdoor activity first, followed by a shared lunch
Lunch afterwards can work well if you would like to be in City Park in the morning. After a walk or another programme chosen by you, you can sit down for lunch at 112 Andrássy Avenue.
Leave a buffer before your booking time for walking over and getting ready. If you are arriving from a ticketed attraction, do not align your table directly with the advertised finishing time. This way, you do not have to rush the family in the final minutes.
At lunch, you can still choose breakfast dishes. If your child would like to eat the pancakes they spotted earlier, you do not have to look for another meal just because it is past midday. Our all-day menu works whether you eat before or after your walk.
What should the plan be if it rains?
Your family meal can still go ahead if it rains. If the outdoor part is cancelled, you can organise the day around a shared lunch, and it is not necessary to immediately fill every hour with a new activity.
The exhibition at HAB, operating in the same building as us, can also be an option if it suits the children's interests. Check the current possibilities in HAB's programme calendar. An open exhibition does not necessarily include a children's activity or workshop on the day you visit.
If registration is required for any announced programme, please arrange this separately from your table booking. The visiting schedules of the gallery and the bistro may also differ. It is worth checking this in advance, especially for weekend, holiday or fixed-start programmes.
What should you write in the booking notes?
Alongside the total number of guests, indicate your need for a highchair, a pram and any dietary requests to be discussed in advance. For example, you can write it like this:
There will be four of us arriving: two adults and two children. We would like to request one highchair, and we are bringing a pram. Please let us know how we can access the building with the pram.
You can also copy this text into your booking, just adjust the numbers and requests to your family. If multiple families are meeting, summarise the numbers and requirements in a single booking.
Please indicate food allergies both when booking and when ordering on site. The name of the dish or a few omitted ingredients do not in themselves confirm that it will be suitable for a given diet. Our kitchen team can explain what we can prepare for you.
The bistro is normally open from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 19:00, and on Saturday and Sunday from 9:00 to 19:00. We are closed on Mondays. For a family lunch planned on a public holiday, please check the options for that day separately.
